Composite Decks

Composite decking offers a low-maintenance alternative to wood, combining durability with modern aesthetics. Made from recycled materials, it provides a long-lasting outdoor solution.

  • Minimal upkeep required

  • Resistant to fading, staining, and damage

  • Higher initial cost

  • Less natural appearance than wood

Wood Decks

Wood decks provide a classic, natural look for outdoor spaces, enhancing home value with their timeless appeal. They offer a traditional feel but require more care.

  • Natural, warm aesthetic

  • Lower upfront cost

  • Requires regular maintenance

  • Prone to weathering and insect damage

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to build a deck?

It depends on the size and design. Most decks can be finished in a few days, but decks with intricate designs over 1000 sq ft may take longer.

Do you recommend composite or wood decks?

The choice between composite and wood decks depends on your priorities. If you value low maintenance and longevity, composite decks are a great choice. They require minimal upkeep and can last 25-30 years or more. However, they have a higher initial cost and may have a less natural appearance. If you prefer a more natural look and don't mind regular maintenance, wood decks are a good option. They offer a wide variety of wood types and stains, and can be sanded and refinished to extend their lifespan. However, they require more upkeep and are susceptible to rot, warping, and insect damage. Ultimately, consider your budget, desired appearance, and maintenance preferences when deciding between composite and wood decks.

Can you assist with permits?

Yes we can, but this is something you can do on your own that will speed up the process. You can get this done before you decide who your hiring to build the deck. We recommend doing some research on applying for permits and getting that done asap, but if you're unsure and want guidance, we can help.

How much will my deck cost?

This largely depends on the size and design. Some railings can add an extra $20k+ to your project if you want to get fancy on a big deck. Best thing to do is give us a call so we can give you a rough quote. If it's in your ballpark then we can come out for an on-site estimate to give you a more exact number.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are licensed, insured, and bonded.
